How to Turn On 2FA for MyDigipass

An authenticator application can be downloaded to Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch devices, as well as Android smartphones or tablets.

1. On your smartphone, search for “MYDIGIPASS” in the app store and download the app.

2. Open the MYDIGIPASS app on your phone, enter your PIN. 

3. Tap “Scan QR code” to launch the QR code scanner.

4. Scan this QR code with the MYDIGIPASS app on your smartphone.

Another option is to use the Belgian identity card and MyDigipass eID plugin.

Before beginning, ensure your have the correct plugin enabled.

  1. Open a new tab and go to chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
  2. Click Enable under Enable NPAPI
  3. Restart your browser
  4. Open a new tab and go to chrome://plugins
  5. Look for MDP Card Reader Plugin and click Enable
  6. Reload this page

1. Download the plugin ( The download will appear on the bottom left of your window. After the download is complete open the file to start installing the eID MYDIGIPASS plugin.

2. Disconnect your eID card reader before installing the plugin. 

3. Leave this browser window open during the installation process. Follow the instructions of the install wizard and complete the installation.

4. Enable the plugin.

A hardware Digipass is also available for 2FA. 

1. Type your DIGIPASS serial number in the field shown.

2. Press the button on the DIGIPASS to generate a one-time password and type it in the field shown.
