How to Turn On 2FA for FollowMyHealth

Please note: Specific instructions for enabling 2FA are subject to change without notice. Please check with each website or app for the most up-to-date information on this feature.

If you would like to add an extra layer of security to your FollowMyHealth Secure Login, FMH has the option to add a 2-step verification process.

1. Sign in to your account at the account management page.

2. Scroll down to the bottom to change the preferences. You can choose one of three available options: Email, SMS (text message), or App. (“None” is the default.)

With this feature enabled you will be sent a numeric PIN to enter after you attempt to log in. This PIN can be sent via Email, SMS text message, or provided through a smartphone app like Google Authenticator.

If you select the authenticator app method, please make sure that the app is already installed on your smartphone and available to use before finishing this registration process. A barcode will appear below that will need to be scanned by the authenticator app.

2FA Using Email

If you opt to use Email for 2-Step Verification, you will receive a PIN from, sent to the email address supplied on the FMH Secure Login Registration screen, any time you attempt to log into FMH using your valid username and password.

Please be aware that if you leave the FollowMyHealth page to go to your email to gather your PIN, the current login session will be terminated and the PIN is no longer valid. A new PIN is generated each time you enter your valid username and password. To ensure a successful log in, you will need to have two tabs or windows open within your browser: one with the login page, and the other with your email.

2FA Using SMS/Text Message

You will be prompted to supply a mobile phone number and carrier. This is where the PIN will be sent any time you attempt to log into FollowMyHealth using your valid username and password. (Standard carrier rates and charges may apply.)

2FA Using an App

If you opt to use App for 2-Step Verification, you will be prompted to scan a barcode using an authenticator app for smartphone, such as Google Authenticator. The smartphone app will receive a PIN any time you attempt to log into FollowMyHealth using your valid username and password.
