How to Turn On 2FA for Aha!

Please note: Specific instructions for enabling 2FA are subject to change without notice. Please check with each website or app for the most up-to-date information on this feature.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) can improve your Aha! account's security by adding another level of protection to the login process. A message is sent to your cell phone (or landline) during the login process. The login succeeds if you respond to the message.

1. The Aha! account administrator must first sign up for a Duo Security account. There is no need to add your Aha! users to Duo manually. They will be added automatically the first time they log into Aha! after 2FA is enabled.

2.  Create a new Integration. The type should be set to Web SDK. The default configuration of the Integration is fine.

3.Copy the Integration Key, Secret Key, and API hostname values. You will need these to configure Aha!

4. Navigate to the Aha! Settings page. On the settings page, select “Account,” and then “Security and single sign-on.”

5. Enter the values from your Duo integration, enable 2FA, and click “Update.”

6. Test the authentication flow by using a different browser or a different computer (so that you can change the settings if they are wrong). In a different browser, try logging in. After entering your email address and password, you will be prompted to enroll for 2FA. Two-factor authentication applies to all users in an account.

7. Configure 2FA for your user account. The first time you log into your account after 2FA has been turned on, you will see a prompt.

8. Next, select the mechanism that you will use when you need to log in. Aha! suggests using your mobile phone.

9. Enter your location, phone number, and type of phone.

10. Launch the appropriate store for your smartphone. Download and install the free Duo Mobile app on your phone.

11. Aha! strongly recommends tapping “OK” when asked if Duo Mobile can send push notifications to you. This is important because when you log into the Aha! Web application, you will automatically receive a notice on your phone. After you hit “Confirm” on your phone, you will be automatically logged into your Aha! Web account.
