Telesign Opens Operations Centre In Belgrade

Los Angeles, California and Belgrade, Serbia — March 25, 2013 Ñ The U.S. Embassy Serbia announced today that Telesign, an Internet security and authentication leader, has opened an Operations Centre in Belgrade for its mobile services division, Telesign Mobile. In honor of this occasion, US Ambassador in Serbia Michael D. Kirby organized a reception in his residence. Among numerous invitees, representatives of the government of Serbia were present, as well as domestic and foreign companies – present and future partners of Telesign.Headquartered in Marina del Rey, California, Telesign recently established the Telesign Mobile division with a head office in London, UK. As the company expands, Telesign Mobile recognized Belgrade, Serbia as an ideal location for its operations center. Belgrade was chosen for its highly educated, motivated, and multilingual workforce, many of whom have deep industry knowledge and experience in telecommunications.Significant investments will include:

  • Ambitious hiring plan as part of regional expansion with more than 100 employees planned for Belgrade
  • Extensive employee training and knowledge transfer
  • New state-of-the art facility in VIG Plaza, New Belgrade
  • Significant investments in system infrastructure using local suppliers
  • Integration and collaboration with US-based counterparts
