Los Angeles, CA – March 14, 2011 – TeleSign, a global leader in Internet Security, announced that Charles McColgan will serve as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. McColgan will lead TeleSign’s technical development, operations, and long-term vision of the company. He brings twenty years of industry experience which includes his creation and operation of SaaS solutions used by thousands of enterprises in the security and messaging space.
Prior to joining TeleSign, McColgan served as both Software Architect and Senior Manager at Microsoft Corporation. Most recently, McColgan was Director of Development responsible for the ForeFront security brand of server protection products. He was also the CTO of FrontBridge, building the company from scratch, hiring the first engineering employees and building FrontBridge’s distributed filtering network leading to the Microsoft acquisition of FrontBridge Technologies.
Before joining FrontBridge, McColgan was Vice President of Technology at Paramount Digital Entertainment (PDE) a Viacom Company. Within 5 years McColgan grew Paramount’s Internet presence from a single server collocated at BBN Planet at Stanford University to producing content online for Paramount's television and motion picture.
