Los Angeles, CA – April 18, 2011 – TeleSign, a global leader in Internet Security announced that Forrest Hobbs will lead as Vice President of Sales and Support. Hobbs brings fifteen years of Sales, Marketing and Business Development experience to TeleSign, the last ten focused on building direct and partner sales organizations for cloud security and productivity software businesses.
Hobbs came to TeleSign from Microsoft Corporation, most recently as Business Manager for the Worldwide Office 365 Sales team, taking Microsoft's premise-based productivity suite to the cloud. Prior to that, he spent four years leading direct and partner sales organizations focused on Microsoft's Cloud Unified Communications solutions, including successfully mainstreaming several cloud solution suites into Microsoft's core product portfolio, growing those businesses from $20M-$150M per year in revenue.
Hobbs arrived at Microsoft via the acquisition of cloud software security provider, FrontBridge Technologies in August 2005, where in addition to his sales and partner responsibilities, he acted as Market Development Lead for the FrontBridge acquisition and chief evangelist for Microsoft's “Defense in Depth” strategy, speaking at all major venues and analyst briefings.
Hobbs currently serves on the advisory boards for several software companies, including, Vorsite Corporation and Mobolize.
