LOS ANGELES, Calif., September 3, 2014 – TeleSign, the leader in Mobile Identity, today announced a strategic partnership to provide enhanced phone authentication for the RSA® Adaptive Authentication platform. The integration will give customers of the RSA Adaptive Authentication solution the option to receive an SMS or Voice one-time password (OTP) to validate user identities.
The RSA Adaptive Authentication solution provides risk-based authentication and fraud detection for thousands of websites and online portals including financial services, government, and health care organizations. This comprehensive solution is designed to measure the risk associated with a user’s login and post login activities by evaluating a variety of risk indicators. When additional identity assurance is needed, out-of-band authentication is prompted to help prevent abuse and fraudulent activities.
TeleSign will assist with authentication by providing Voice or SMS OTPs for RSA customers to validate a user before he or she can gain access to sensitive information. The integration between RSA and TeleSign provides an end-to-end solution for RSA customers who want additional protection from fraudulent activity for their sites and customers.
TeleSign currently protects 3.5 billon user accounts in more than 200 countries and 87 languages. The partnership brings together two security leaders that have a strong global customer base and presence and the joint offering gives customers protection they can rely on across multiple channels.
“Quality and an extensive network are very important for RSA’s clients. With TeleSign’s global reach and expertise in the voice and SMS space, it was a natural choice to partner so that we can offer our customers additional authentication options,” said Rueben Rodriguez, Principle Product Marketing Manager; Fraud Risk & Intelligence at RSA. “As technology continues to evolve, we will partner with the best in class security companies to ensure our customers can rely on our services to help fight against the evolving fraud landscape facing the web.”
“It is essential that businesses have flexible security solutions to meet all of their needs. We are pleased to be able to work with RSA to offer their customers enhanced protection without compromising the user experience with a service that works everywhere, all the time,” said Steve Jillings, CEO, TeleSign Corporation.
