Posting on my city’s major job listing classified ad websites always seemed like a complete waste of time and money. If I ever tried to advertise a job opening at my firm, my e-mail inbox would soon be flooded with spam, many of it containing lewd material. It would take a long time to find the few legitimate responses in the mess of garbage. Also, a person trying to send a resume in hopes of scheduling an interview would also have to be witty to not get conned into the many multi-level marketing and pyramid scheme like job opportunities. I decided to tackle the problem by designing my own website. I am an amaeteur web designer, and such a project seemed like an amazing opportunity to further my skills and maybe even make money down the road. The main goal of the project was to provide a spam free job listing board that did not require heavy moderation. I decided that a phone fraud detection system by TeleSign would suffice and keep within budget. Sure enough their system works great and the website is virtually spam free. I am going to use the transaction verification system, also by TeleSign, to expand my website and allow people to safely sell and auction off goods.
